Information and communications technologies (ICT) have become crucial growth engines for many different industries in recent years. Welcoming 25 students who participate in the training, Mr. Lan Wenkui, Director, International Affairs of CQIPC, highlighted that the improvement of the professional and technical ability of ICT managers will effectively alleviate the shortage of ICT management personnel in Pakistan and other BRI countries. In 2018 and 2019, a total of 34 technical and management personnel were trained for Pakistan.

Ms. Dai Shuo, Class Advisor of the program, emphasized that across the ICT ecosystem, there is an urgent need for large numbers of technical staff who can address the challenges posed by this transformation. “As an ICT leader, HUAWEI is committed to promoting ICT industry development. It operates and aims to drive long-term economic, social, and environmental sustainability, which also seeks to close the gap between knowledge learned in the classroom and the skills required by the industry, and enhance knowledge transfer.”
